The Financial Inclusion for Last Mile Actors (FILMA) project recently completed the onboarding of 30 newly trained Private Agricultural Service Providers (PASPs), officially integrating them into the initiative to boost the delivery of quality advisory services to local farmers. As a key part of this process, the PASPs attended an intensive “Farming as a Business” training, equipping them with vital skills in financial literacy, agribusiness management, and entrepreneurship to help them operate sustainably and support farmers more effectively through improved record-keeping and value chain linkages.

To ensure the success and continued engagement of these entrepreneurs, the Municipal Agricultural Department is conducting regular monitoring and field visits. These efforts provide crucial technical support and backstopping, helping to identify and resolve operational challenges while ensuring the PASPs remain motivated and aligned with the core goals of the FILMA project.
