In a decisive move to enhance local governance and service delivery, the Ketu North Municipal Assembly (KNMA) successfully concluded its 2026 Annual Staff Capacity Building Training Week. Held from April 21st to April 28th at the Assembly Hall in Dzodze, the intensive five-day program brought together 80 staff members (55 males and 25 females) from across all departments and units. Investing in Our Most Critical Resource.
Guided by the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), the training was designed to sharpen the technical competencies of staff and ensure the citizenry of Ketu North receives the highest quality of service.
The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Bernard K.P. Sakyiama, officially opened the session by emphasizing that human capital development is the bedrock of effective administration. He urged all participants to translate the knowledge gained into immediate performance improvements in their official duties.


The 2026 training week stood out for its peer-to-peer methodology, utilizing internal experts and Heads of Departments as facilitators. This approach ensured that the twelve (12) thematic presentations were practical, contextual, and directly relevant to the Assembly’s unique operational needs.
