The Volta Regional Minister, Hon. James Gunu,  joined the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Martin Amenaki in visiting victims and families affected by Wednesday’s tragic accident at the Dzodze-Penyi road construction site. At Penyi, the family of the late Madam Mariama Gbemu were commiserated and assured them of the continued support of the Assembly and the Regional Coordinating Council during this difficult period.

During the visit, a courtesy call was paid on Torgbui Dadzi V, Paramount Chief of the Penyi Traditional Area, to express our condolences and appreciate his guidance and leadership.
We later proceeded to Dzodze to visit Mr. George Gadegbeku, one of the injured victims, who had returned to St. Anthony’s Hospital for medical review.

As a gesture of solidarity, the Volta Regional Minister and the Ketu North Municipal Assembly presented cash donations to the bereaved family and the surviving victims, Mr. George Gadegbeku and Madam Augustine Azigi, to support their needs and medical care. We remain committed to standing with the affected families and continue to pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.
