Ketu North Municipal Assembly held its Third Ordinary Meeting of the Third Session of the Fifth Assembly on Thursday, 29th October 2026 at the Municipal Assembly Hall in Dzodze. Convened under Section 18(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936 as amended), the meeting brought together Assembly Members, municipal directors, and key stakeholders to deliberate on important matters of governance and development.

During the session, members approved several key documents for the 2027 fiscal year, including the Annual Action Plan, Composite Budget, Fee-Fixing Resolution, and Revenue Improvement Action Plan (RIAP). The Assembly also endorsed the Voluntary Local Review (VLR) Report, demonstrating its commitment to transparency and sustainable development. A significant highlight of the meeting was the election of Honourable Justine Yegbegah as the female representative to the Executive Committee, reinforcing inclusivity and gender representation in local governance.

The meeting further underscored the Assembly’s dedication to participatory governance and accountability. In addition to engaging municipal departments and zonal councils, the Assembly distributed streetlights to Honourable Assembly Members after the session, a move aimed at enhancing community safety and improving public infrastructure. These decisions and actions set a clear path for growth and development in 2027, reflecting the Assembly’s vision of unity and progress for the people of Ketu North.
