The Ketu North Municipal Assembly (KNMA) is actively championing agricultural transformation through the “Supporting Young Female Poultry Farmers” initiative, a strategic program designed to place young women at the forefront of the local economy.
In collaboration with Agro Innova and its partners, the Assembly is facilitating a comprehensive support system that provides day-old chicks, quality feed, and veterinary services to ensure the success of emerging female-led agribusinesses.
This partnership aligns with the municipality’s development priorities of advancing food security and stimulating job creation through digital capacity-building and market linkages across the Volta and Oti Regions.
Hon. Martin Amenaki (Municipal Chief Executive), reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to scaling such impactful interventions, ensuring that young women are equipped with the skills and resources necessary to lead sustainable enterprises and uplift their communities.
Through this initiative, KNMA continues to empower young women as leaders in agriculture, driving economic growth and sustainable development in the municipality.
