As part of the nationwide First Saturday Sanitation Day initiative, The Honourable MCE led a team to observe and participate in cleanup activities across various communities in the Ketu North Municipality, which was aimed at encouraging all residents to take personal responsibility for maintaining clean and healthy surroundings. The MCE was highly impressed by the level of participation demonstrated by residents, Assembly Members, and community leaders who contributed their efforts throughout the exercise.

The tour began in Penyi, where Hon. Mac Thompson Gbeti and residents were actively sweeping and clearing refuse around the market square, and continued to Dzodze, where Hon. Lawrence Dordunu and his community members were desilting drains and cleaning streets. The strong enthusiasm and cooperation observed in all three communities—concluding in Ehi—reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to supporting this initiative to ensure Ketu North maintains its status as one of the cleanest and most responsible municipalities.
