On World AIDS Day (November 29th, 2024), Miss Elizabeth Koranteng, the Municipal Focal Person for HIV, conducted a condom activation campaign at the Dzeshime lorry park. The campaign aimed to raise awareness about the importance of consistent and correct condom use in preventing HIV and other STIs. This initiative was prompted by the concerningly high rates of new HIV infections observed in Ghana, particularly among young people. During the campaign, traders and drivers at the Dzisheme market were educated about the significance of condom use in preventing HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.
