KETU NORTH ASSEMBLY WELCOMES NEW MUNICIPAL CO-ORDINATING DIRECTOR (MCD)

The Ketu North Municipal Assembly held a Staff Durbar on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, to formally introduce the new Municipal Co-ordinating Director (MCD), Mr. Bernard K. P. Sakyiama, to the staff. In his address, the new MCD stressed the pillars of a successful administration: teamwork, truthfulness, and accountability, urging all staff to maintain maximum effort and continuously build their professional capacity. Furthermore, he issued clear directives aimed at improving efficiency, including a demand for the Works Department to generate 45% of the Assembly’s total revenue and a requirement for the Records Staff to conduct a file census every Monday morning.

The durbar also featured contributions from the staff and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. Rev. Martin Amenaki, who emphasized the crucial need for the entire team to set aside differences and work as a unified unit. Key operational points were raised by staff, such as the need for the prompt return of borrowed files, while the MCD assured staff that a new Estates Officer would be appointed and that the Assembly’s crucial lighting system would soon be repaired. The meeting successfully established a clear agenda, signaling a renewed commitment to professionalism and performance under the new leadership.
