The Ketu North Municipal in partnership with USAID and GES hosted the Inter Circuit and Municipal Reading Festival here in the Ketu North Municipal Assembly Hall.
The Participating Schools were nine; Penyi Circuit, Dzodze East Circuit, Awalavi Circuit, Tadzewu Circuit, Ehi Circut, Afife Circuit, Dzodze West Circuit, Dzodze Torgodo Circuit and Weta Circuit.
The Chairperson for the occasion was Rev Mrs Seke Theresa. The Education Director of Ketu North Municipal, Mr Raphael Mawuko Amenyo gave the welcome address and in the address he made it clear that, in the year 2017 the USAID partnership for Education, Learning seeks to develop phonics based reading program that helped in providing evidence based tools and strategies for improving reading performance in 100 district in Ghana. Reaching approximately 1.1 Million primary students. Ketu North Municipal was also part of the 100 districts Reached by USAID.
