Ketu North Municipal Assembly was honored to be selected as one of the 30 districts across the country to host the Ghana Center for Democratic Development (CDD-Ghana) and the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in a town hall meeting dubbed “ THE YOUTH SPEAKS SERIES II”.
This event took place on Tuesday 21st June, 2022 at the Ketu North Municipal Assembly Hall. Notable groups within the district were invited and each group nominated people to participate in the event. The meeting engaged the youth and empowered them to participate in the local governance.
In a presentation delivered by the MCE, Hon. Anthony Avorgbedor and MCD, Mr. Jasper Adenyo, they stated that the doors of the Assembly are always opened to the youth and they should frequently visit with their problems and ideas. They encouraged the youth that if anyone wants to setup a business or register a business, they should come to the assembly for enquiries and assistance. The Social Service Committee of the Assembly, Youth Empowerment Agency (YEA) and the Nations Youth Authority (NYA) also gave their brief perspectives on the topic. The youth who were present were also given the opportunity to ask questions and also share their opinions.
