The Honourable MCE conducted a routine visit to Penyi Market to inspect infrastructure, specifically a market pavilion, and addressed traders’ urgent concerns regarding the lack of secure, lockable stores for their goods. The Market Queen formally appealed for intervention to resolve this long-standing security challenge for the market women.

The MCE, accompanied by the Municipal Coordinating Director and Engineers, assessed the existing structures and unanimously agreed on the urgent need to convert the inadequate pavilion into secure, lockable store units. This project, aimed at promoting safe and conducive local economic activity, is committed to being completed within the next one to two months, with close collaboration planned with market leadership.
