In a collaboration, Hopeline Institute and the Ketu North Municipal Department of Agriculture conducted a two-day training on Good Agronomic Practices (GAPs) for rice farmers across Dekpor Homme, Dekpor Yia, Klenormadi, and Adzoatsi on September 29th and 30th, 2025. This vital program successfully engaged 500 participants, including smallholder farmers, women, and youth, covering crucial topics from proper seed selection and timely fertilizer application to effective water management and post-harvest handling.

The highly interactive sessions equipped farmers with practical knowledge to achieve higher yields, strengthening the partnership between the Hopeline Institute, extension agents, and local farmer groups. Participants left with an increased awareness of proper field management, poised to adopt these improved techniques for more sustainable and productive rice farming.
