MCE INSPECTS GIRLS IN ICT WORKSHOP CENTRES

The Honourable MCE dedicated time earlier this week to visit three ICT training centres hosting the Girls in ICT workshops in the Ketu North Municipality, specifically checking on the training at Dzodze Training Center, Dekpor Basic School, and Ohawu Basic School. This Regional program is empowering 1,000 girls in the Volta Region with digital skills, continuing a vital initiative that promotes digital inclusion and helps to bridge the gender gap in the technology sector.

During his visits, the MCE engaged with the enthusiastic participants, emphasizing that this unique opportunity to learn from dedicated instructors is a potential turning point in their academic and professional careers, given that ICT is the backbone of modern life. The MCE noted that 100 outstanding girls will be selected for advanced training in Ho and expressed hope that many students from Ketu North will be among those selected to receive laptops.
