As part of efforts to ensure effective and efficient operation of Small Community Water Supply System, the Management of Ketu North Municipal Assembly on Thursday 25th April 2024, has inaugurated a new Afife Water Board. This was in fulfilment of the Community Water and Sanitation Agency (CWSA) guideline governing the effective and efficient operation of Small Communities’ Water Supply Systems.
On his part, the Hon. Municipal Chief Executive Anthony Avorgbedor indicated that the Board is expected to provide oversight responsibility to ensure regular flow of water to serve the needs of residents of Afife and its environs.
He said the importance of water in the performance of human daily activity cannot be overemphasized and that the availability and constant water supply would guarantee quality standard of living of the indigenes of the communities.
He charged the Board members to bring their skills and experiences to bear in order to ensure the functionality of the water supply systems. He assured them that the Assembly would continue to provide the necessary technical backstopping and training to enable the Board deliver on its mandate.
The Board members were duly inaugurated after taking the Oath of Office and Oath of Secrecy.
