IMMEDIATE ACTION PROMISED FOR STORM-DAMAGED TSIYINU M/A BASIC SCHOOL

The Honourable MCE swiftly visited Tsiyinu M/A Basic School after a distress call confirmed that a severe rainstorm had completely ripped off the school’s only two-unit classroom block. The MCE witnessed the heartbreaking scene where Primary 1 to 6 pupils were forced to study unsheltered under trees, confirming the urgent need for intervention.

The MCE assured the community that the Assembly will provide a quick, immediate response to fix the damaged structure within one to two weeks while simultaneously pursuing a long-term solution by taking steps to re-award the contract for a previously uncompleted six-unit classroom block. The MCE affirmed the collective commitment of the Assembly and the Member of Parliament to changing the narrative and ensuring the children of Tsiyinu receive the safe and dignified learning environment they deserve.
