The Municipal Department of Agriculture has officially kicked off the distribution of fertilizer under the Government’s impactful Feed Ghana Programme to boost crop productivity and ensure local food security. This timely national intervention aims to improve soil fertility and increase farm yields for the 2025 cropping season, ensuring farmers get critical inputs when they need them most.

Distribution was in September and so far, over 500 farmers and one Senior High School have benefited from the initiative, each receiving between two and one 50kg bags of NPK fertilizer to support their farming activities. This ongoing distribution utilizes a portion of the 1,000 bags of fertilizer supplied by the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA), with many more beneficiaries expected to be reached in the coming weeks.
