The Honourable MCE recently received the Ghana Boundary Commission, led by Commissioner-General Brigadier; General Anthony Ntem, as part of a working tour to inspect and assess the Ghana-Togo border demarcation within the Ketu North Municipality. Prior to their field activities, the MCE briefed the Commission on critical issues affecting the border communities, specifically highlighting encroachment attempts onto Ghanaian territory and the long-standing challenges faced by residents.

The Commission acknowledged the detailed briefing and affirmed its unwavering commitment to safeguarding Ghana’s territorial integrity, offering an update on ongoing strategies to secure the nation’s borders. Taking advantage of the engagement, the MCE appealed to the Commission to consider supporting infrastructure development, specifically requesting the construction of a dam on the Aka River to significantly boost irrigation and improve livelihoods for rice farmers in the border area.
