CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING WORKSHOP ON SERVICE DELIVERY STANDARDS AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT SERVICE PROTOCOLS

This report provides an overview of a capacity training workshop on local government service delivery standards and local government protocols that was conducted for the staff members of the Ketu North Municipal Assembly. The training aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of the staff members to improve their performance and ensure better service delivery to the citizens. The training program covered various topics including Local Government procedures, Local Government Service Delivery standards, and Local Government Service Protocols.

The workshop was led by Mr. Jasper Adenyo, the Municipal Coordinating Director, who provided guidance and advice to the participants on how to make the most out of the training and enhance their experiences. The training program was conducted using participatory methods and various training materials such as PowerPoint presentations, group discussions, case studies, and experience sharing. The participants were also provided with necessary supplies such as notepads and pens.

The report highlights the key modules covered in the training program. Module 1 focused on the standards for service delivery and aimed to provide an understanding of the minimal caliber of services that should be guaranteed to customers in terms of cost, time, and quality. Module 2 focused on the Linking Service Delivery Standards (SDS) and Performance Management System (PMS) and provided a framework for measuring and managing the performance of the Assembly. The report also includes the essentials of the Service Delivery Standards, which include participation, professionalism, efficient and effective use of resources, client focus, accountability, and transparency.

The report concludes with the closing remarks from Mr. Adenyo, who urged the participants to take their work seriously and strive for improvement. The participants expressed their satisfaction with the training and recommended that quarterly training should be conducted to strengthen and improve staff productivity.

In summary, the training program successfully provided the staff members of the Ketu North Municipal Assembly with the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their roles and responsibilities in a professional manner. The participants reported an increase in their knowledge and skill levels and expressed the desire for more training sessions in the future.
