HON. REV. MARTIN AMENAKI

Biography

Hon. Martin Prince Korbla Amenaki is a seasoned educationist, visionary farmer, and dedicated political leader serving as the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Ketu North Municipal Assembly. With a strong background in education and public service, he brings to the Assembly a wealth of experience in governance, community development, and agricultural innovation.

A native of Penyi, Hon. Amenaki holds a Master of Arts in Administration in Higher Education, a Bachelor of Education in English and Social Studies, and a Diploma in Basic Education, all from the University of Cape Coast. His academic achievements underpin his deep commitment to advancing educational opportunities and empowering youth within the municipality.

Before his appointment as MCE, Hon. Amenaki taught for over two decades in various junior high schools across the Volta Region, where he was widely respected for his integrity, leadership, and passion for youth development. His parallel career in agriculture as the Chief Executive Officer of Mawumenyo Farms has earned him recognition, including the Best Poultry Farmer award by the Ketu North Municipal Assembly in 2013.

Hon. Amenaki’s political journey has been marked by steadfast dedication to the values of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He has served in multiple leadership roles, including Constituency Secretary, Campaign Coordinator, and Deputy Election Director, where he played pivotal roles in mobilizing grassroots support and promoting inclusive political engagement.

Beyond administration and politics, Hon. Amenaki has a strong commitment to community service. He is a District Pastor of the Herald Apostolic Church and in charge of three congregations. He is also the Deputy Secretary of the Council of Elders Committee of the Penyi Traditional Council. He also serves as the Chairman of Ketu North’s Ghana Poultry Farmers Association.

Fluent in English, Ewe, and Twi, Hon. Amenaki is a bridge-builder across cultures and communities. His vision for Ketu North is centered on youth empowerment, agricultural revitalization, particularly the Weta Irrigation Project, and sustainable development.

Hon. Amenaki continues to champion strategic collaboration between government, traditional authorities, faith-based organizations, and the private sector to enhance the quality of life for all residents of Ketu North.
