
This workshop, a critical step forward, was attended by prominent figures including the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Anthony Avorgbedor, The Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Jasper Adenyo and departmental heads representing various sectors like Health, Education, Social Welfare, and Environmental Health. Representatives from the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) and the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) were also present, highlighting the collaborative effort required to address poverty effectively.


The workshop, led by the Municipal Statistician, Solomon Agyapong, focused on the design and application of multidimensional poverty statistics. This approach goes beyond simple income levels and considers various factors contributing to poverty, such as access to education, healthcare, sanitation, and social security.
By understanding the multifaceted nature of poverty in the Ketu North Municipality, stakeholders can tailor interventions to address specific needs. The workshop equipped them with the knowledge to monitor the effectiveness of existing programs and design new ones that target the root causes of poverty within the community.
This initiative signifies the Ketu North Municipal Assembly’s commitment to utilizing data for positive social change. With a collaborative approach and a focus on multidimensional poverty statistics, the Assembly is well-positioned to develop impactful programs that empower residents and build a brighter future for the Ketu North Municipality.
