Hon. Anthony Avorgbedor, Municipal Chief Executive of Ketu North Municipal Assembly has donated items to persons with disability as part of their share of the District Assembly Common Fund. (DACF).
He said it used to be that, the items were given to them to be used at home or for their upkeep, but now the government is ready to set them up in small business ventures. He also admonished the caregivers to take good care of the items and put them to good use which will yield them profits for the expansion of their businesses.
The items included fridges, deep freezers, a corn mill machine, a fufu grinding machine with an electric motor, a pepper grinding machine, a butterfly sewing machine with a table and chair, an electric corn mill, provisions, and second-hand clothing among others to equip them to earn a living despite their challenges.
